Autumn Bull Sale Summary

STABILIZER®    18 bulls Av $3530                    Top $6500       Trowbridge Molesworth Vic

TOTAL             55 BULLS AV $4010

John and Anne Stanes of Lyndavale Station Alice Springs NT bought top priced bull Paringa Rio Bravo G469 for $12,000. They bought a total of 6 bulls – three more Charolais and two Black Stabilizer® bulls for their properties in SA and NT. They were impressed with the recently available MBRs, and toughness on the hybrid bulls and the longevity of the Charolais they have used in central Australia. Volume buyer Barry Wood of Woody Group Bairnsdale returned for a second Paringa bull sale in six months to purchase more bulls. Strong support from repeat clients (over 85% bulls sold) was again evident at this year’s sale. Bulls sold to most states – Victorian, NSW, NT, and WA cattle breeders. Local buyers were consistent bidders with Christies, Balmoral, Coolongolook, Lojosa Springs, and Trowbridge coming away successful buyers. Christies have topped the Yea Weaner sales for the last three years with their Paringa Charolais sired progeny, and reinvested this year with updated genetics.

Given the difficult climatic situation many farmers are facing with below average rainfall and tougher market prices, Paringa were very satisfied with the results of the sale. “It was very pleasing to see our clients who are returning repeatedly to invest in genetics they know they are going to be happy with” said Tom.

The proceeds of refreshments over $640 in funds, was donated to the Yea & District Children’s Centre, a local community service which recently opened its doors. Thanks to all friends, buyers and under bidders who made our sale a success.
